Some items can only be found on certain Enemies. These are the ones I know of:

Bone Necklace: Barbarian
Sugilith Pendant: Guard

Harpy: level 1-xx Can be found everywhere but the mountains are the best place to look.
Medusa: level 21-xx Can be found everywhere but the mountains are the best place to look.
Cerberus: level 41-xx Can be found everywhere but the mountains are the best place to look
Minotaur: level 60 Can be found in mist mountains
Wolf: level 1-xx Can be found in the wolf cave or in the dark woods.
Hog level: 21-40 Can be found in the dark woods.
Leopard level: 41-xx Can be found in the dark woods.
Bear: level 60 Can be found in the dark woods.
Barbarian: level 1-20 Can be found in the barbarian village.

Berserk: level 41-xx Can be found in the barbarian village.

Very Long = Random (max 120 minutes)
Long = 120 minutes
Middle = 120 minutes
Short = 90 minutes
Very Short = 30 minutes
If you know exactly when it changed from "Short" into "Very Short", you can get a bid in at an effictive time.
